Sephora only launched in the UK in 2022 and it was the first year its range of Sephora advent calendars was easily available to buy – and the brand didn’t disappoint.
It released three main advent calendars as well as a host of Christmas sets.
Two of last year’s calendars contained Sephora’s own brand of makeup and skincare while the Sephora Multi-Brand calendar featured popular brands including Huda Beauty, Medik8, Sol de Janeiro, and more.
Building on this sell-out success, pre-orders for the 2024 Sephora advent calendar have now opened and we’ve been a glimpse at what’s inside.
What’s more, the Sephora Collection calendars have also now dropped and they’re much cheaper than the Sephora Favourites calendar. We’ve detailed more about these further down the page.

What’s inside the 2024 Sephora Advent Calendar?
@victoria_woolly_web I started off being a bit meh about this calendar – a candle and some Sephora minis felt a tad disappointing – but then it more than redeemed itself with a huge amount of full-size products. The fact there are 40 products in 25 boxes is also incredible value. I LOVE the Glossier You perfume, and I’m most excited about using the Paula’s Choice Booster. As the best advent calendars go, this is definitely up there. Is the Sephora Advent Calendar worth it?
The Sephora Advent Calendar is up there with the Space NK calendar (in our view). It’s fantastic value for money and you get an incredible range of products.
There are also a number of products and brands you won’t find in many other calendars, including Gwen Stefani’s GXVE, K18, Fenty Skin and Vegamour. These products on their own get close to the price of the Sephora calendar.
When you compare this to the Charlotte Tilbury Advent Calendar 2023, for example, it looks like an even better value. Charlotte’s calendar costs £29 less than Sephora’s calendar but you get 12 products versus 36. Plus, only two products in the Charlotte Tilbury calendar are full-size, versus 23 in the Sephora.
We still think the Space NK takes the edge but the Sephora is a slightly cheaper calendar that’s almost exactly on par with its rival.
Is the Sephora Advent Calendar worth it? Yes, definitely!

Sephora Advent Calendar contents: Deep Dive
Having a list of products is all well and good, but if they’re brands or items you’ve never heard of or used before, it can be hard to know if the Sephora advent calendar is really worth it. - Glow Recipe Watermelon Glow Pink Juice Moisturizer: Lightweight moisturiser with watermelon extract for oily to combination skin. It didn’t score particularly well in our hydration tests but it feels nice on the skin. Check out our best moisturiser page to learn more about how we test products.
- Topicals Slather Exfoliating Body Serum: This body serum contains retinol and lactic acid to exfoliate and smooth skin texture.
- Sephora Collection Love The Lift Instant Curl And Lifted Volume Mascara: The first of Sephora’s own-brand products to feature in this Favourites calendar, this mascara promises to lift and curl lashes while adding volume.

- Glossier You Eau de Parfum Rollerball: This is our favourite perfume. Glossier describes it as being a warm fragrance with notes of ambrette, musk, and pink pepper. What’s great about it is that it smells different on everyone. The one in the calendar is portable rollerball version of the full-sized bottle.
- Kosas 10 Second Eye Gel Eyeshadow: A liquid eyeshadow that dries quickly with long-lasting, crease-free wear.
- Dermalogica Daily Microfoliant: This rice-based powder exfoliant brightens and smooths all skin types. You pour the powder in your hand and then activate it with water to form a gently exfoliating paste.
- Drunk Elephant Protini Polypeptide Cream and D Bronzi Anti-Pollution Sunshine Drops: This is a great addition to the Sephora advent calendar contents – the Drunk Elephant Peptide moisturiser can be used on its own, or paired with the anti-pollution bronzing drops to create a dewy, golden finish.
