Lush was one of the first brands to release an advent calendar in 2022 and it’s followed suit with the launch of the 2023 Lush advent calendar.
However, unlike in previous years, the brand is releasing not one, but two calendars for this year.
The first, and most expensive advent calendar is simply called the 2023 Lush advent calendar and contains 25 products, some of which are exclusive to the calendar, and others that are retro products that are making a comeback. This includes a mix of bath bombs, perfumes, shower gels, scrubs, and more.
The second is the Christmas Buds advent calendar gift set. This 25-day calendar only contains bath bombs and bubble bars.
Not only are all of its products sustainable, ethically sourced, vegan, and cruelty-free, but the packaging they come in is too.

Obviously, if you’re a big Lush fan – or you just love bath bombs tbf – you’ll get a lot of value out of the Lush advent calendar.
We love that there is a wide selection of scents and product types, and the fact they’re all festive-themed. There’s enough in the main calendar to use two products a month before you run out, although bathing in Christmas fragrances in the height of summer might seem a bit odd.
What’s also great about the Lush Advent Calendar 2023 is that it contains a number of exclusive products that you’ll only be able to find in this calendar. There is also a handful of retro Lush products – including the Snowman Bubbleroon and the Snow Angel Bath Melt. These were previously discontinued so if you’ve been missing them, this is the only way to get them.
In our personal experience, the Lush advent calendar makes a great (albeit expensive) gift too.
All that said, £195 is a lot of money to spend. Especially when a large number of the items inside can only be used once! Even £125 for the Christmas Buds calendar may be out of many people’s budgets.
You may get more value from a calendar like the Soap & Glory Advent Calendar if you’re after bath and body treats on a budget.
