The 2024 MAC Advent Calendar waitlist is now open – keep reading to join the list and learn about last year’s version ahead of this year’s announcement
MAC ADVENT CALENDAR: AT-A-GLANCE
The MAC Advent Calendar 2023 summary is as follows:
Price: £170
Worth: £485
Release date: Available now
Size: 25 days, 25 products – 21 full-size, 4 travel-size
UPDATE: The MAC Advent Calendar may have sold out, and there is no sign of it coming back in stock, but the brand has launched its MAC Mystery Bag.
It costs £45 but is worth £159 and contains seven MAC makeup favourites for your eyes, lips, and face.
The only product we know for definite is inside the bag is a full-sized lipstick in the neutral shade Hug Me.
However, looking at the silhouettes and swatches, it also appears to contain the MAC Stack mascara – one of the best MAC mascaras we’ve used; a full-size Ruby Woo lipstick, and the Brushstroke eyeliner.
These bags are only available for a limited time but they make a great gift, for a loved one or even yourself, so if you want to get your hands on it, we recommend you be quick!

JOIN WAITLISTThe MAC Advent Calendar is back for 2023!
It’s full of MAC bestsellers including the products from its HyperReal collection, lipsticks, mascara and more, and 21 of the products are full-size.
The MAC calendar is a sell-out every year so if you want to be in with a chance of getting hold of it, we highly recommend grabbing it ASAP.
You can buy the calendar by clicking the link below, or keep reading to find out what’s inside.
P.s If you don’t like the look of the MAC Advent Calendar, the Sephora Advent Calendar has dropped on the same day.
It’s more expensive – at £189 – but is worth almost three times as much and contains 36 products, 23 of which are full-size!
Sadly none of them are MAC products but in our view, Sephora may be better value.

@victoria_woolly_web I wasn’t overly impressed with last year’s MAC Advent Calendar as it had a lot of single eyeshadows and mini lipsticks. This year, however, it’s MUCH better. There are 24 doors and 21 full-size products including the MACStack Mascara and the Teddy 2.0 lipstick. The 2023 MAC Advent Calendar costs £170 but is worth £485. The only annoying thing is that the snowflake thing blocks some of the doors – granted it looks pretty though! #advent #adventcalendar #adventunboxing #Mac #macadventcalendar #macadvent #macstack #premiumadvent #luxuryadvent #adventcalendarreviews #adventreviews #kmacadventcalendar2023 #bestadventcalendar2023 #advent2023 #christmascalendar #christmas #countdowntochristmas ♬ Jingle Bell Rock – Bobby Helms

Whether or not the MAC advent calendar is worth it depends on your budget and how much of a MAC fan you are.
We’ve bought the MAC Calendar for the past two years and while £165+ is a lot of money to spend, the amount of products and the range is great. The least interesting items (in our opinion) are the MAC eyeshadows but we absolutely loved all the lipsticks we got last year. We discovered the MAC Cleansing Oil for the first time and were able to replace our lipstick primer.
The majority of products are travel-sized but there are a couple of full-sized items, and the price MAC Advent Calendar is worth it for that alone.
If you’re a fan of MAC products, you may find that you get a lot of products that you already own. This isn’t necessarily a bad thing because you’ll have replacements for your current makeup, and you may discover new favourites, but it’s worth bearing in mind.
If you’re a MAC fan but can’t usually afford its range of products, this calendar is a fantastic way to get a bargain. Even if it doesn’t quite feel like it!
If you’re not a MAC fan, or you’d prefer to choose an advent calendar with a wider selection of brands, then this may not be the calendar for you.
