Charlotte Tilbury has partnered with the F1 Academy to encourage more women to enter motorsport

In a partnership that we didn’t see coming, but which makes a lot of sense, Charlotte Tilbury has partnered with Formula One to celebrate young female drivers and encourage more women into the sport.

As part of the partnership, the two brands have unveiled a Charlotte Tilbury-branded car – which is officially being referred to as “Charlotte Tilbury Operated by Rodin Motorsport”.

The car’s livery, helmet, and racing suit feature Charlotte Tilbury branding and are painted in the brand’s crimson and rose gold colour. They also feature the brand’s Hot Lips lipstick design with the motto ‘Makeup Your Destiny.’

It’s the first time a beauty brand has partnered with the F1 Academy, which is run by Susie Wolff, MBE.

Wolff is a Scottish former professional racing driver and current managing director of the F1 Academy.

She began in karting, winning the British Woman Kart Racing Driver of the Year twice, before becoming the first woman to be given a full-time role in the Deutsche Tourenwagen Masters (DTM) series Mercedes-Benz.

She tested Formula One cars with Williams and took part in free practice sessions, and more recently founded the Dare To Be Different campaign advocating for increased female participation in motorsport at all levels, and became Team Principal of the Venturi Formula E team.

In 2016 she was awarded an MBE for her services to women in sport.

“At F1 Academy we want young women and girls to feel confident to chase their dreams, no matter the odds,” said Wolff. “We are on a mission to transform access to our sport, celebrate trailblazing female pioneers in our industry, and inspire a new generation of young women to pursue a career in motorsport.”

Throughout the 2024 season, Charlotte Tilbury will spotlight the fifteen inspiring young drivers, aged 16-25, racing under the F1 Academy banner. Lola Lovinfosse, aged 18, from France, will drive the Charlotte Tilbury car.

This is the latest in a line of philanthropic partnerships from the British beauty brand.

In December, to mark World AIDS Day, Charlotte Tilbury partnered with The Rocket Fund, powered by the Elton John AIDS Foundation. Limited-edition Rocket lipsticks and a Rock Star makeup bag were sold to raise money for the foundation.

The brand has also launched collaborations with other brands, less for philanthropy but out of mutual respect, and this includes Charlotte Tilbury’s recent Disney 100 range, launched to celebrate the Disney brand’s 100th anniversary.

As part of this campaign, Charlotte Tilbury sold Magic Cream pots and other products with the Disney 100 and Tinkerbell designs on them.
