On 17 January, the team here at mamabella celebrated our first birthday, and to mark the occasion we’re launching a huge giveaway of some of our favourite products from our favourite brands.

During the summer of 2019, our founder, Victoria, had the idea to create a beauty website that was more inclusive and accessible. One that celebrated beauty in all of its wonderful forms.
After struggling with postnatal depression and body issues, Victoria found solace in looking after her skin and experimenting with makeup. Self-care can not only improve how you look on the outside, it can drastically help with your mental health.
Something that many of us can like relate to as we’re power through a third lockdown.
There is also a myth that skincare and makeup are out of reach for many people, whether that’s because of their budget or their skill level.

With this in mind, mamabella launched to be a health and beauty website aimed at everyday people – those of us with dark circles, fine lines, blemishes, oily skin, thinning hair, bingo wings, wobbly bits and more.
Feeling beautiful should be a human right yet whether it’s 20-something YouTubers or models advertising makeup, Photoshopped magazine covers, or social media, we are bombarded with images that make us feel inadequate. Makeup should empower people, not intimidate. Taking care of yourself is not about ego, it’s about confidence. You can read more about this on our About page.
Our ethos is to be approachable, friendly, and accessible. Mamabella is for you if you’re short on time, short on money, or if you feel like the beauty industry doesn’t “see” you.
To do this, we attempt to demystify beauty trends, provide real-world reviews, cut through the marketing BS with a focus on the science of what you’re putting on and into your body, and help you feel beautiful whatever your budget.
