Adding to the already impressive roster of beauty lines available both in-store and online, Boots has just announced its latest addition – the fantastic range from iconic makeup artist Laura Mercier.
We’re huge fans of cheap makeup and skincare – and we know it’s a marketing myth that have to spend a fortune to get the best ingredients – but we’re also willing to pay a little extra for those items that really do outperform everything else on the market. And Laura Mercier falls into this latter category.
Regular readers will be familiar with some of the best Laura Mercier products. Her range regularly appears in our Best Buys lists – the Laura Mercier tinted moisturiser is a great foundation for dry skin; the powder eyeliner is one of the best eyeliners we’ve tried for tight lining; the Laura Mercier Face Illuminator highlighter gives us an amazing glow, and we haven’t come across a better setting product than the brand’s Translucent Loose powder.
It has been possible to buy Laura Mercier in the UK for sometime – from Cult Beauty, Lookfantastic and SpaceNK to name a few – but the brand’s arrival in Boots means you can now get these brilliant products with Advantage Points, and they’re available on the high-street.
After bringing Fenty Beauty and Too Faced to the UK high-street last year, Boots made headlines in January when it introduced the full Huda Beauty range. So it’s no surprise that Laura Mercier has joined this list, given the brand’s cult following among makeup artists, influencers and beauty fans.

This is, hands down, the best setting powder we’ve used.
Not only does it keep makeup in place for up to 12 hours, while also keeping your face free of oils and shine, because it’s a loose powder, it makes it easy to apply and build up on different parts of the face.
We tend to put more on our T-Zone and chin and less on our under eyes, to avoid the latter becoming cakey, as an example. It’s also incredibly lightweight, so doesn’t leave your skin feeling heavy. This makes it perfect if you are prone to acne.
The price shown about is for the mini version of the Translucent Setting Powder, in case you want to give it a try first. You can then get a full-size pot for £32.

Mixing the pigment and feel of a cream with the lightweight nature of a powder, the Laura Mercier Face Illuminator is one of the best highlighters around.
It’s buildable, so you can use it to create a subtle glow or a full on glamorous shimmer, and the way this product catches the light is just dreamy. We reach for it even on days when we’re barely wearing any makeup at all.
When paired with the Laura Mercier Tinted Moisturiser (see below), you can nail the sunkissed look with very little effort.

If you have particularly dry skin, or you have a flare up of spots and blemishes, it’s worth reaching for one of the best tinted moisturisers rather than a heavy foundation. It offers a decent level of coverage without the weight or thickness. Not to mention the fact it moisturises at the same time.
The Laura Mercier Tinted Moisturiser offers the ideal base for the dewy, natural, minimal makeup look that’s so on-trend this year and because of its sheer finish, it’s the perfect combination of skincare and makeup.

Considering Laura Mercier is renowned for her fantastic skin and base products, it’s no surprise that her Flawless Fusion Ultra-Longwear concealer is up there as one of the best concealers around.
As its name suggests, it delivers a flawless finish, blurs and smoothes the skin around your eyes, lasts all day and is full of hydrating properties making it perfect for dry skin types.

Don’t be deceived. Although this looks like a regular eyeliner, the Laura Mercier Caviar Stick is a creamy, eye colour that doubles up as an eyeshadow.
Sweep the colour over your eyelid and blend it out with a blending brush, or create a solid block of colour along your upper and lower lash lines. You can learn more in our how to apply eyeshadow guide and our guide to the best makeup brushes.
We’ve also used the more nude colours as a lip liner! These Caviar Sticks are so versatile, they feature in our list of the best multi-purpose makeup.
There are 25 shades to choose from, from nude brown to bright berry and pink.
