As if Aldi – and Lidl for that matter – don’t already dominate the groceries sector, both brands recently expanded into makeup and skincare. As part of this, Aldi is taking things a step further with the launch of a branded advent calendar.
Coming in at £54.99, it just misses out on making it onto our best cheap beauty advent calendar guide but it’s still a huge bargain. Inside the Aldi advent calendar are 24 of the brand’s bestselling Lacura products, and we’ve listed more about these below.
The brand recently announced its Lacura Loves beauty box. This box is now on sale, but it’s only available in stores. We’ve listed what’s inside the box further down.
Pre-order 24 October
What:? The Aldi Lacura beauty advent calendar contains 24 of the brand’s bestselling Lacura skincare and makeup products.
When:? Aldi is opening pre-orders for its advent calendar online from 24 October. It will then be available in stores from 28 October.
Price: £54.99
The calendar itself comes in a black and gold box and inside is the Lacura cleansing balm, the Too Legit mascara and more. Aldi is renowned for selling cheap versions of premium makeup and skincare and many of the Lacura products rival the likes of Benefit, Huda Beauty, Emma Hardie and more!

In September, Aldi also teased its Aldi Beauty Box – the first-ever beauty box from the high-street supermarket and it contains five of the brand’s most popular products. What’s more, two of them are full-sized – all for the bargain price of £11.99. Sadly it’s only available in-stores.
Inside the Aldi beauty box is:
The £3.99 Healthy Glow Glycolic Tonic is a superb cheap skincare alternative for PIXI’s Glow Tonic, which costs £18, while the Too Legit Mascara takes direct aim at Huda Beauty’s LEGIT Lashes mascara.
Meanwhile, the CBD Facial Serum (as its name suggests) uses an ingredient called CBD, which stands for cannabidiol.
This chemical comes from a plant called Cannabis sativa, of which there are many strains including marijuana, hemp, Sativa, and Indica.
It’s used for various conditions but in beauty circles, it removes excess sebum and is anti-inflammatory to help with acne. It also helps calm red or irritated skin.
It also slows down the ageing process in the skin. It contains an antioxidant that bonds with free radicals to prevent them causing DNA damage. You can read more in our What is CBD? guide.
There’s a strong chance this Aldi beauty box will sell out quickly – as is the case with many Aldi Lacura products – so the brand has launched a waiting list. At the time of writing, reports are saying that more than 3,000 people have signed up.
“It’s fantastic to see such interest in our first beauty box, particularly with over 3,000 beauty fans signed up to the online waiting list,” said Julie Ashfield, Managing Director of Buying at Aldi UK.
“The #LacuraLoves box is full of amazing products from the wider Lacura range, and we’ve chosen cult classics like our Too Legit Mascara and Healthy Glow Glycolic Tonic and some of our favourite products from our most recent launches. They perfectly showcase everything we strive to achieve with our Lacura brand – premium quality products that don’t cost a fortune.”
In January last year, Aldi launched its first foray into vegan skincare and then in April it released its first sustainable beauty range. You can read about both here.
